5 COMMON MAKEUP MISTAKES AND HOW TO AVOID THEM FOR A FLAWLESS LOOK

Hi lovelies. We all love experimenting with makeup to enhance our natural beauty, but sometimes, even the best of us can fall victim to some common makeup mistakes. Don't worry; I've got your back! In this blog, I'll walk you through the top five most common makeup blunders and show you how to steer clear of them, so you can create a flawless look every time.

1. Blending is the Key to Perfection: Mistake: Have you ever seen someone with a clear makeup line separating their foundation from their neck? That's the result of not blending foundation properly! Mismatched foundation can be a disaster, leaving your face looking cakey, unnatural and aging your skin. Solution: Always choose a foundation that closely matches your skin tone and blend it seamlessly from the centre of the face out to the jaw line. If you have a natural tan you may need to pull your foundation down your neck to blend to the chest. 2. Bold Brows without the Wow: Mistake: Overdoing your eyebrows is a common pitfall. Thick, overly drawn eyebrows can give your face a harsh and artificial appearance. Solution: Embrace the natural shape of your eyebrows and use a brow pencil or powder to fill them in gently. Go for a shade that matches your hair colour and use short, feathery strokes for a more natural look. Keep in mind, eyebrows are sisters, not twins, so don't fret if they're not perfectly identical! 3. Solution: For a subtle flush of colour, apply blush to the apples of your cheeks and blend it softly towards your temples. When using bronzer, focus on the areas where the sun naturally hits your face, like the forehead, temples, cheekbones, and jawline. Remember, a light touch is the secret to a natural-looking glow.

4. Clumpy Lashes Are a No-Go: Mistake: Clumpy mascara is the bane of beautifully defined lashes. Applying too much mascara or not separating the lashes can lead to unsightly spider legs instead of long, voluminous lashes. Solution: To avoid clumps, wipe off excess mascara from the wand before applying. Use a lash comb or a clean spoolie brush to gently separate your lashes after applying mascara. Voila!
